Leading homeowners to solutions where it matters the most in Showers & Bathrooms.
Providing Proper Advice and Recommendations to Homeowners
In 2004, we started a journey of finding solutions to complex natural stone and porcelain challenges which are not available with the old traditional methods. Throughout the years, we have acquired experience, development, and expertise in one brand leading us to developed solution systems for long-lasting results. Our experience in the stone industry has led us to forge a reputable relationship with a community of distinguished building professionals, stone, and porcelain suppliers, which recommend their clients to complement their premium materials with TERSO MR® Solution Systems from the start.
It is imperative to attain a qualified installer that follows the TCNA (Tile Council of North America) installation standard as well as the manufacturer's own recommendations for a proper material application. Installation specialists have their limitations, which are beyond their control, even with all the great suggestions and resources.
Installation Specialists Limitations
Based on our experience, research, and case studies, we discovered that showers and bathroom structures are in great need of our unique solution systems due to the nature of water and impurities exposure. All other structures may need our solution systems on a personalized basis determined by a close analysis once the materials are in its architectural application. Furthermore, the solution analysis can be determined on the age of the structure, structure settling movement, wear and tear, the environment, and client's lifestyle usage of the materials.
Showers are Number One on the list
Due to their small enclosed structures, showers have many moving parts that can soon become water-saturated (Waterlogged Shower™). The established industry standards focus on waterproofing the showers at the base, which is essential to prevent water from leaking to the floor below. Additionally, the shower base contains micro weep holes to prevent any water with impurities infiltrating under the setting base to drain off the water when it reaches the waterproof protective liner. However, weep holes can soon become clogged. Throughout the years, we have encountered the challenges mentioned above; showers may start leaking, which can be diagnosed as the waterproof pan liner failure but is not always the case.

Bathroom Leaks are Number Two on the list
Once micro weep holes on the drain base become clogged, the water with pollutants starts to build up in shower enclosure, spreading upwards, outwards, under the tile setting base, and behind any glass enclosure, not visible on the surface. However, water intrusion is more noticeable when the material is a light-colored marble by showing signs of discoloration. An evaluation is necessary to address the shower surroundings once the materials are in use, as not all materials are the same. If your shower has a glass enclosure, it needs maintenance at the perimeters where water splashes. Silicone, worn-out plastic sweep, and vinyl seal strips need replacement at least every two to three years.

When homeowners are in the quest for shower and bathroom repairs, they may come across the following methods:
One day bath remodel
Install acrylic plastic wraps over the existing materials

Quick basic grout repairs or caulking repairs
Quick color seal or stain the grout surface
Recommending to apply sealer often

The mentioned methods will not work for the community that owns luxury marble, natural stone, and porcelain materials. From our experience, no one in our well-known community of suppliers and building professionals will recommend these solutions to their respective clients.
